Croatia has approved the rollout of Tesla's FSD Supervised driver-assistance system, Tesla announced on September 29, 2026.
Reuters reported that the approval clears the way for Tesla to deploy the system in Croatia in the near future. FSD Supervised still requires an attentive human driver and is not an unsupervised robotaxi system.
Why this matters
Croatia becomes another European country to permit Tesla's supervised driving software while the broader EU-wide authorization process remains unresolved.
That makes the Croatian decision part of a growing country-by-country rollout rather than a substitute for a single EU-wide approval. RobotaxiGuy has already covered approvals in other European markets as well as the delayed EU-level decision timeline.
For Tesla, each additional national authorization expands the real-world European footprint of FSD Supervised. For regulators, it also increases the importance of resolving the remaining questions around how the system should be treated consistently across the bloc.
What to watch next
The next questions are when Tesla enables FSD Supervised for Croatian customers, what conditions accompany the rollout, and whether additional European countries recognize the same approval path.
